Song: Say (v1)

A brand new song, written for my singer songwriter setlist. I felt the need to record this song, so I could experiment with acoustic guitar recording, double vocal micing and sax- and string arrangements. I’m actually looking out for someone who can do an acoustic saxophone performance on this song. In this version you hear midi sax, anyway, you get the idea.

I kept the lyric really minimal. It’s a very open lyric. I pictured myself running from someone who’s right behind me while chasing me. We’re both too proud to say what it takes to stop the running. How will it end? I don’t know :).

I think I wrote the lyric “say what you want me to say” because of listing to John Mayer’s latest single, also called Say. I just sneaked into my mind, I couldn’t do a thing about it!
